Data Warehouse Engineer We are looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to support and expand our Azure-based data platform, enabling scalable, high‑quality data solutions across the organization. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will design, develop, and support modern data pipelines and cloud‑based data infrastructure. You will collaborate across teams to ensure seamless data integration, reliable operations, and continuous optimization of performance and cost efficiency. Job Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support efficient data integration and transformation (Python, PySpark, SQL) Develop and manage data models and database components (e.g., stored procedures) to orchestrate and optimize data workflows Drive and enhance DevOps best practices , including CI/CD pipelines and automation Continuously improve data platform capabilities by evaluating and leveraging emerging technologies , tools, and methodologies Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and advanced analytics to improve data processes, platform capabilities, and the solutions delivered to business users Partner with data scientists and analysts to deliver impactful, data‑driven solutions Collaborate with upstream and downstream system owners to ensure smooth and reliable integration Monitor data pipelines and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure stable day‑to‑day operations Track, analyze, and improve platform performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and data pipeline issues Troubleshoot and optimize systems to improve performance, efficiency, and cloud cost (FinOps awareness) Create and maintain clear technical documentation , including test execution and validation Resolve service requests as part of 2nd and 3rd level support Mentor and support team members, trainees, and students Qualifications Education/Experience A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science/Engineering or related is required 5+ years experience in data engineering, software engineering or similar roles is required Experience working on international teams is desired Some minimal international travel is required Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team Technical Expertise Experience working within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment Hands‑on experience with: Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory Microsoft Fabric Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 / OneLake Azure SQL Server Development Skills Strong proficiency in SQL development Experience with Python and/or PySpark Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling Experience with Azure DevOps , including Git and CI/CD pipelines (YAML) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Structured, reliable, and collaborative working style Top‑tier medical plan with no deductible, plus voluntary dental and vision plans Company‑paid Long‑Term Disability and Short‑Term Disability, and other insurances 401K program with 100% company match of up to 6% of pay after six months Eleven paid holidays per calendar year 15 paid vacation days and 5 days paid sick time Company Description ifm efector, inc., headquartered in Malvern, PA, has earned the distinguished Top Employers certification for 2020 and 2021 in North America for our outstanding people practices. ifm efector is the US subsidiary of ifm electronic gmbh, a global company with over 8,700 employees in 165 countries serving 155,000 customers worldwide.
