Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: speech patient caseload ranges from 15-36
• Patient Ratios: depending on patient complexity, evaluations, MBSS's to perform. On average 6:1
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) 2 current FTE, 1 new FTE starting 12/15, 2 PRN. Ideally 3 SLP on M-F and 2 Saturday, 1 Sunday
• Type of equipment:
• Documentation system: meditec expanse
• Scheduling requirements: M-F 7:30-4
• Floating policy: none
• Patient Experience requirements: ICU, trauma, neuro, independent with MBSS, FEES desirable but not required, strong with bedside swallow assessments, cognitive assessments, Trachs, Emergency Department

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications: CCC-SLP New Hampshire License, BLS, MBSS competent

• Must have: strong bedside swallow assessment skills, MBSS capability, Flexibility and strong communication skills
• Advanced skills needed: FEES not required but we have the equipment

Procedures performed on unit:

• bedside swallow assessments and evals

Certifications Required:
