UVA medical office in Bristol VA seeks a Medical Office Coordinator. The Medical Office Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring efficient daily operations within the clinic. This position serves as a central point of communication for patients, medical staff, and external providers while supporting administrative and clinical workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient service. Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner
• Coordinating three face to face clinical settings including telemedicine scheduling
• Answer incoming patient phone calls and route messages or inquiries to appropriate medical staff
• Receive, review, and process referral documentation from external providers
• Provide patients with information regarding outside referrals and assist with related scheduling
• Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients requiring handicap-accessible services
• Travel to an off-site field clinic, with the team, three days per month (during the first week of each month) to assist with patient registration, intake, and scheduling
• Maintain and organize patient records, including filing, EMR and paper charting, and preparing charts for upcoming clinics
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with office policies
• Support general office operations and administrative tasks as needed

Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 1+ year of relevant experience required. Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Work Arrangement: This position is based in Bristol VA, and must be performed fully on-site.
