Medicare Member Services Representative
Location: Akron, OH (must live in the Akron/Canton area)
Pay: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week | Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Temporary / seasonal | Interview required
What you’ll do
- Provide personalized support to members by phone and electronically regarding enrollment, benefits, eligibility, billing, claims, and authorizations
- Document inquiries/complaints in the tracking system and route items for resolution as needed
- Meet production and quality standards for written and phone communications
- Treat all customers with respect, using empathy, education, and a customer-first approach
- Maintain confidentiality and follow regulatory and company policies/procedures
- Learn and use internal systems (experience with health-plan systems is a plus)
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (college coursework a plus)
- 2+ years of relevant experience (call center customer service or administrative support)
- Medicare and/or health insurance background strongly preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
- Comfortable working with Windows and standard office/PC equipment (including headset use)
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional bending/stooping; lift up to 20 lbs
