Critical Care Nurse - CVICU

Provide specialized critical care nursing services to adult patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive critical care to adult patients recovering from cardiovascular surgery and interventions.
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters using GE monitors, Swan-Ganz catheters, and other advanced equipment.
• Manage ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, and critical procedures such as CRRT and Impella devices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition, providing emergent interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, preferably in CVICU, adult ICU, or neuro ICU.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ventilator management, invasive line care, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Prefer candidates with CVICU-specific skills, including CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella management.
• Possess Meditech EMR experience and relevant certifications such as BSN or CCRN.
• Be a team-oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
