Essential Functions / Responsibilities Perform welding on mild and structural steel using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW methods. Capable of welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions and creating fillet or butt weld joints. Utilize basic welding equipment and hand tools such as grinders, cut‑off wheels, and magnetic drills. Conduct equipment checks to ensure optimal performance. Accurately read and interpret measurements using a tape measure. (test will be required) Follow detailed blueprints and work instructions to complete welding projects as per specifications. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Successfully complete required welding tests to demonstrate skills and meet job qualifications. Be willing to assist with other related tasks in different departments as needed. Lift and maneuver metal components, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials (up to 50 lbs minimum). Education High School Diploma/GED (not required but preferred) Completion of a welding trade school program (not required but preferred) Job Locations US-OH-Batavia Additional Requirements The minimum age requirement is 18 years. 1+ year of on‑the‑job related experience welding using GMAW or FCAW methods. Flexibility to work in other related departments as required.Ability to work both independently and in a team. Stand and/or walk most shifts, plus ability to bend, squat, lift (up to fifty pounds), push, pull, reach with or without reasonable accommodation. Demonstrated exemplary attendance and work habits.
