Infusion Clinic Nurse Practitioner (Tampa, FL)

Job Title: Infusion Clinic Nurse Practitioner Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Infusion Clinic Nurse Practitioner is responsible for patient care within their scope of practice in the clinic setting, performing administrative tasks and interacting with payors as needed to meet clinic needs, and working with leadership to maximize clinic efficiency. The NP must maintain current licensure in all applicable states and attend all mandated in‑services. Education / Experience Current NP license in good standing with all governing bodies. Current BLS certification. Previous management experience preferred. Excellent IV skills, ability to multitask, exemplary customer service skills. Proficiency with computer programs used in the center and typing accuracy. Two years of infusion experience in specialty infusion therapy, with patient assessment, venous access, and emergency patient care. Bi‑lingual desirable. Health Status Requirements Appropriate immunizations and TB screening as required by policy. Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver. Other state and federal health tests as required by law. Major Responsibilities Abides by company policies, INS and IgNS standards, OSHA guidelines, and state Board of Nursing regulations. Provides infusion and skilled nursing care, including patient assessments, teaching, plan of care development, administering therapies, monitoring responses, and psychosocial support. Ensures regulatory compliance, completes admission process, and performs evaluation and management visits as needed. Performs physical assessments and documents patient care accurately and promptly. Evaluates records prior to infusions to confirm clinical criteria and interim studies. Communicates patient status and observations to prescribers and staff. Documents therapy response in the medical record. Maintains self‑protection in hazardous situations. Manages supplies responsibly and represents the clinic professionally. Contributes to quality programs, monitors lab results, and ensures medication orders are accurate. Maintains licensure, certification, health requirements, and demonstrates clinical competence. Participates in orientation of NPs, RNs, and MAs, and validates competency. Facilitates communication between patients and the company. Engages with specialists and community providers as an ambassador. Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned. Maintains a neat, clean appearance. Meets customer/patient satisfaction expectations and addresses complaints fairly. Works under strict guidelines and competing priorities. Utilizes appropriate communication lines. Proactively presents ideas to management. Promotes clinic culture through quality, comprehensive services. Continuing Education Completes continuing education required to maintain licensure in all applicable states. Engages in additional education and training determined by supervisor and policy. Technical Learns and becomes competent with technology and partner programs (Epic, Office 365, WeInfuse, and others). Learns third‑party referral platforms as needed. Exhibits effective written and oral communication skills. The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000, based on factors including education, experience, and certification.
