Registered Nurse - ICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM to 7 AM, rotating weekends

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our high-acuity ICU unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temp license not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilated patients
• Post CABG care experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear royal blue scrubs. Clean and healthy nails without artificial enhancements are mandatory. Hair should be neat and clean; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
