Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Climatec continues to represent and integrate numerous leading manufactures’ product lines across its wide range of services, including Bosch products. Job Summary: The Technician II responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes

• Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.

• Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project

• All work is performed to Company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.

• Work with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turn over of jobs to the client and service department

• Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.

• Work in confined spaces as necessary.

• Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.

• Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems and installation techniques.

• Technician only-24hr on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory

• Ability to read blue prints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience

• Valid US drivers license with acceptable record

• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree (2 year) in a technical capacity

• 3+ years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory

• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience

• Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 6 feet.

Working Conditions: In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.

Additional Information:

• Compensation: Pay: $18.00 - $35.00/hour (DOE) Multiple levels

• Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary

• Travel Requirements: Travel required and may include overnight
