Job Description
The primary duty of a dentist is to deliver a high standard of care to every patient. To this end, they may have the following job duties:
- Performing exams and evaluating X-rays to determine a patient’s health
- Developing treatment plans to deal with any dental health issues
- Providing cosmetic services like teeth whitening, bonding, and veneers to enhance the appearance of teeth
- Filling cavities, performing root canals, applying crowns, and installing bridges and implants to fix broken and missing teeth
- Administering or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health
- Interacting with patients and instructing them on proper oral care
- Measuring and fitting dental appliances
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- AEGD training is a must
