Make an impact as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting a high school student at a vocational technical school in a full-time setting. This contracted opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a student who will rely on your assistance throughout the school day, fostering their growth and independence.

You'll begin each day at the high school, accompany the student on school transportation, and serve as a consistent, supportive presence both in the classroom and throughout their vocational program. This role encourages strong interpersonal skills and requires compassion, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.

What You'll Bring:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school setting is highly valued
• Comfortable assisting high school students with daily activities, such as organizing materials, navigating lockers, and carrying supplies
• Willingness and ability to ride the bus with the student each day
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to respond calmly and adaptively to changing needs and routines
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a high school student attending a vocational tech school
• Assist with transitioning between classes, organizing materials, and daily school routines
• Ensure safe arrival and departure by accompanying the student on school transportation
• Maintain open communication with educators, staff, and caregivers regarding student progress
• Adapt support according to the student’s evolving needs over the course of the school year

The assignment runs from August 25, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with full-time hours (Monday through Friday, approximately 35 hours a week). The schedule is generally 7:15am to 3:00pm and may adjust as needed.
