This position reports to: Production Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the factory Maintenance team in the planning and implementation of initiatives that maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness, and/or efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production lines, and/or facilities. Each day, you will develop and implement equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing costs and profitability. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.

The work model for the role is: Onsite in Ormond Beach, FL

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

· Champion a safety-first culture across all maintenance activities and daily work assignments.

· Ensure all team members follow proper safety protocols, Take 5, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements.

· Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and root cause analyses for any safety incidents.

· Proactively identify and mitigate hazards in the work environment.

· Be able to Pass applicable testing to qualify as an ECAP Responsible manager.

Budget Management

· Own and manage the total maintenance budget, covering personnel (20 direct reports) and materials/supplies.

· Develop annual budget plans, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising reliability or safety.

· Establish, oversee and manage budgets for active maintenance projects.

· Report on budget performance to the Production Engineering Manager on a regular cadence.

Team Leadership & Development

· Directly manage and lead a team of 20 maintenance technicians and specialists.

· Be willing to flex work hours necessary to assure success in your role as Maintenance manager.

· Assess team competency levels and develop structured training and upskilling plans.

· Conduct performance evaluations, set measurable goals, and hold team members accountable.

· Mentor and train students enrolled in the ABB-sponsored FAME (Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education) program, supporting workforce development in advanced manufacturing.

· Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with ABB values.

Maintenance Planning & Execution

· Plan, schedule, and oversee all corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.

· Minimize unplanned downtime through robust preventive maintenance (PM) programs.

· Prioritize and coordinate maintenance work orders to align with production schedules.

· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for recurring equipment failures.

· Mentor ECAP Champions as required.

· Manage and maintain the CMMS system (FIIX), ensuring data integrity, accurate work order management, and effective use of the platform for planning and reporting.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

· Own and drive improvement of key reliability metrics: Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).

· Establish baseline metrics, set improvement targets, and implement action plans to achieve them.

· Apply reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies to prioritize critical assets.

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance organization.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field - OR equivalent demonstrated experience in a manufacturing maintenance management role.

· Minimum 7+ years of progressive maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.

· Proven experience managing maintenance budgets in excess of $1M.

· Demonstrated expertise in managing and leading teams of 10+ maintenance personnel.

· Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.

· Proficiency in low-voltage control systems design and troubleshooting.

· Hands-on experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) function and fault diagnosis (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent). Familiarity with AC and DC motors and drives, including variable frequency drives (VFDs).

· Experience with CMMS platforms - FIIX experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of improving MTBF and MTTR metrics in a manufacturing environment.
