Blood Collection Staff - Customer Service

Job Description The American Red Cross is seeking a Phlebotomist to assist in the blood collection process, including transporting and setting up equipment at local community collection sites, creating a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, and following safety procedures for collecting lifesaving blood donations. Standard Schedule (Medford, Oregon) Variable schedule: early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel may be required. Schedule provided two to three weeks in advance. Key Responsibilities Connect personally with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation. Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors. Maintain detailed orientation to ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Drive RedCross vehicles and assist with setup and teardown of equipment at donation sites; minimum height 60 inches. Payment Starting rate $19.64 per hour. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Customer‑service experience and effective verbal communication skills. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical capabilities: lift, push or pull heavy weights; sit or stand for long periods; adapt to irregular hours and frequent schedule changes; minimum height 60 inches.
