Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Position Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift) Location: Norwood, MA Job Id: 224 # of Openings: 1 Shift Monday-Thursday, Typically 1:00 pm - 12:00 am Responsibilities Supervise all union and temporary personnel while on duty on company premises. Document all actions of union employees, including absences, lateness, and violations of company and contractual rules and regulations. Monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments of product and goods through proper documentation. Communicate and relay vital company operational information to supervisors, fellow supervisors, and the relieving supervisor, both in writing and verbally. Provide customer service in a polite and efficient manner to customers and salespeople inquiring about orders by telephone or in person. Supervise and make delivery decisions by phone with union drivers while they are on route. Supervise the morning check‑out of union drivers, documenting the number of invoices and optional cases they are checking out with. Accurately sign temporary help vouchers with hours worked by the temporary helpers. Secure and alarm company premises when it is your responsibility. Report all delivery problems by logging them on the daily driver phone‑in for authorization report. Monitor driver and warehouse employee performance and report to supervisors. Use computer for inventory and customer service functions. Coordinate the shipment of out‑of‑state/controlled state/wholesale shipments by communicating with the relevant departments: inventory control, production, and control state/wholesale departments. Fill in on the duties and responsibilities of the Shipping Operations Manager on days and times when they are not present. Ensure all operations are conducted following company safety procedures and that the safety of the workers you are responsible for is a priority. Perform daily warehouse checks at the beginning and end of the shift to ensure all breakage and garbage are cleaned before your shift is relieved. Other duties as assigned.
