The traffic clerk will be responsible for the following duties:/pulliCreate and interpret shipping orders based on customer routing instructions ensuring all current customer requirements are met/liliInterpret and understand shipping orders in order to facilitate shipping arrangements and instructions on the shipping order/liliContact carrier representatives to make shipping arrangements and issue instructions for loading products/liliEnsure all ASNs are entered in specified time frames while verifying accuracy of documentation/liliProvide customer service to on-site carriers to ensure all proper documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner/liliPerform data entry for all customers using shipping orders to create bill of ladings/liliOrganize and file shipping and receiving documentation for entire facility/liliUnderstand quality system in order to identify and properly handle parts with quality warnings/liliEnsure hot jobs are handled with care and urgency while being expedited through the department/liliMaintain legible and accurate departmental logs and records and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate people/liliUse RF Scanner to ensure product is scanned correctly and assist order pullers with correcting issues with scanned product/liliWork closely with customer service and others in the shipping department to ensure customer needs are met and satisfied/liliAssist with customer service functions before and after hours/liliWork with FedEx and UPS supply chain/liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/ulh3Position Skills Experience Requirements/h3ulliHigh School Diploma required and a certificate in logistics from a college or technical school or six months related experience/liliAbility to read, understand and follow directions/instructions and safety rules/liliStrong interpersonal and communication skills/liliAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment/liliKey punch/data entry experience/liliProficiency with Microsoft Office/liliAbility to lift up to 35 pounds/liliForklift certification preferred/liliDetail orientated/li/ulpCompensation Information:/pp$22.40 per hour/ppITW is an equal opportunity employer.
