Step into a pivotal role as the bridge between lending business units and the technology teams that power them. You will lead requirements analysis and produce auditable documentation for the systems behind our lending operations, working shoulder to shoulder with both business and development partners in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. This is a high visibility opportunity to shape solutions from discovery through deployment, mentor junior analysts, and see the direct business impact of your work. Candidates local to Naperville, IL are strongly preferred, but we welcome strong remote candidates across the US. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Partner with lending business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and data mappings that development teams can execute against.
• Act as the primary liaison between business units and development teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Analyze existing lending systems and processes (e.g., loan origination, underwriting, servicing) to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations from discovery through deployment and post launch stabilization.
• Lead requirements workshops and facilitate discussions across cross functional groups.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, defect triage, and resolution tracking.
• Ensure solutions account for regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations relevant to banking and lending.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, promoting best practices in business analysis. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a comparable role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting lending within a banking context (loan origination systems, underwriting, loan servicing platforms).
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling skills.
• Proven ability to bridge technical and business perspectives, working effectively with both development teams and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to take direction from team members and provide direction when needed.
• Experience operating within Agile/Scrum and/or traditional waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail oriented and structured approach.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in wealth management lending or related financial services domains.
• Familiarity with data analysis and querying (e.g., SQL) to support requirements validation and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Other Information:

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $156,700.00.
