PRN Physician OpportunityPrimary Care Solutions (PCS) is a Veteran-led, clinician-managed healthcare organization providing industry-leading primary care services to Veterans in Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) nationwide. We are seeking dedicated professionals who share our passion for serving those who have served our country.Primary Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated PRN Physician to provide short-term coverage at VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in multiple states where PCS operates. This position offers exceptional scheduling flexibility, allowing providers to work anywhere from one week per month to full-time equivalent coverage, depending on clinic needs and provider availability. Assignments are generally Monday through Friday, with travel occurring on Sunday and return travel on Friday evening or Saturday, depending on location and flight availability. This is a fully on-site, patient-facing position providing comprehensive primary care services to our nation's Veterans. Providers who maintain multiple state licenses and VA credentials may have opportunities to practice in several geographic regions, creating a unique opportunity to travel, serve Veterans across the country, and customize their workload based on individual preferences.• Flexible PRN scheduling based on your availability, but no less than one week a month • Competitive weekly compensation – this is a contractor position, not salary • All approved travel expenses paid by PCS • Professional malpractice coverage provided • Opportunity to practice in multiple states • Work exclusively with our nation's Veterans • No long-term relocation required • Supportive clinical leadership and operational teams • Meaningful mission-driven work with a respected healthcare organizationSchedule • Monday through Friday • Clinic hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM • Travel typically occurs Sunday and Friday evening or Saturday Compensation • Competitive weekly pay • Travel expenses covered by PCS • Professional malpractice coverage providedAs a PRN Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care services to Veterans while supporting clinic operations during staffing needs. Responsibilities include: • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans • Review laboratory, imaging, consultative, and diagnostic information to guide patient care • Complete preventive health screenings and VA clinical reminders • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) members • Document encounters accurately and timely within the VA electronic health record system (VISTA/CPRS) • Ensure compliance with VA clinical standards, policies, and performance measures • Promote positive patient experiences and outstanding clinical outcomes• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine • Minimum of two years of primary care clinical experience preferred • Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state or territory • Current, unrestricted DEA registration • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Strong computer and electronic health record proficiency • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skillsSelected candidates must: • Successfully pass all required federal background investigations • Meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements • Obtain and maintain active credentialing with each VA Medical Center (VAMC) where services are performed • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, registrations, and continuing education requirements throughout employmentThis position requires access to confidential and sensitive information.
