Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Vancouver Specialty & Rehabilitation Care in Vancouver, WA. As a COTA, you will work closely with patients to design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans, promoting independence and rehabilitation in our state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in the delivery of occupational therapy services to patients, including conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions Carry out daily routines and activities with patients, such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and transferring as needed Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and expertise Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and continually strive to improve skills and knowledge Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in occupational therapy preferred 0 years of experience; willing to train and learn with our experienced team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed Work Environment:
