The position of Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for fulfilling our mission of providing customer care, quality service and community support while supporting the Branch Manager in driving daily operations, team performance, and business development initiatives to ensure branch success.

Essential duties include:

• Leading, coaching, and supporting frontline staff to achieve service excellence and sales objectives.
• Overseeing operational integrity and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
• Managing employee scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
• Resolving complex customer inquiries and handling escalations with professionalism.
• Assisting in community engagement and initiatives that promote business growth.
• Operating personal computer and transaction scanner to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
• Reporting malfunctions of equipment as directed.
• Answering telephones and directing callers to proper Bank personnel.
• Gathering data and processing various reports.
• May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; may assist in balancing vault currency and coin.
• May type routine letters, reports and forms.
• Maintaining files, copying, scanning and faxing documents, and ordering and distributing supplies.

Minimum requirements include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work-related experience should consist of a cash handling and/or customer service background.
• Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
• Caring, professional and responsive.
• Friendly and people oriented.
• Ability to effectively assume Branch Manager responsibilities in their absence.
• Intermediate skills in computer operation including Microsoft Suite.
• Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
• Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
• Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
