This role is a working leadership position that combines program coordination with direct support. You will be actively engaged on the floor, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, while also assisting with scheduling, documentation, staff coaching, and daily program operations. Your Responsibilities As the Program Coordinator, you will be the lead Direct Support Professional for our Adult Day Program. This hands‑on, working leadership role involves: Providing direct support to individuals, including personal care, skill-building, and active participation in daily programming. Modeling and implementing behavior supports, including de‑escalation techniques during challenging situations. Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and increasing independence. Assisting the Program Director in maintaining consistent, high‑quality programming. Supporting daily documentation by reviewing for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Assisting with ISP updates, data tracking, and progress notes as directed. Supporting goal tracking and ensuring documentation aligns with individual outcomes. Planning and coordinating daily activities and program schedules. Coaching and supporting DSP staff through modeling, guidance, and real‑time feedback. Reinforcing proper documentation practices and program expectations with staff. Communicating effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. Assisting with basic program operations, including supplies, scheduling support, and facility needs. What Makes You a Great Fit Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent training/experience in disability services will also be considered. At least 1 year of experience in disability services or community‑based programs, preferably in a day program or vocational setting. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, or autism. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Adaptable and creative. Organized with excellent time‑management capabilities. Confident and strong communicator. Positive role model; able to lead, coach, and support. Tech savvy. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. High school diploma or GED. Must be 21 years or older. Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs.
