Laundry Aide Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Housekeeper: Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm

We are Bend Transitional Care, a 60-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Bend, Oregon that provides transitional, post-hospital care for people who need extra medical support before returning home or moving to longer-term care. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Full Time Laundry Aide and Housekeeper to join our team.

Laundry Aide Essential Functions

• Sorts, washes, dries and folds resident clothing.
• Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units and returns linen barrels to the laundry.
• Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms.
• Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary work area.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps.
• Purges stained, torn, or otherwise unacceptable facility linens.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Housekeeper Essential Functions

• Maintains the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors and employees.
• Takes pride and ownership in the condition of the facility to ensure that it is a welcoming environment.
• Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
• Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
• Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Other Functions

• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to stand/bend/twist for the majority of your shift.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques.
• Ability to be patient and polite.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.

Licenses/Certification

• None required.

Experience

• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred, but willing to train the right applicant.
