Overview FFS Drug and Alcohol Co-Occurring Clinician – Colmar, Pennsylvania, United States Position Type: Fee for Service Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd – with weekends Work Schedule: Fee for Service scheduling Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Completed an accredited master 39s degree program with a graduate degree in a human service field such as social work, clinical counseling, or psychology Completed a minimum one-year clinical internship CADC, CRS, or MAT-related training are preferred This clinician provides integrated mental health and substance use treatment for individuals with cooccurring disorders, requiring strong skills in assessment, counseling, and evidence-based interventions. The role demands knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostics, substance use treatment models, crisis management strategies, and the ability to facilitate individual and group therapy while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Clinicians are expected to uphold ethical standards, practice trauma-informed and culturally competent care, engage in supervision and ongoing training, and support program goals with professionalism and flexibility. The D/A Co-Occurring Clinician is also responsible for facilitating structured drug and alcohol group sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices, relapse-prevention strategies, psychoeducation, and therapeutic skill-building to support clients in their recovery. Earn: $35-$38/hour Position Details A D/A Co-Occurring Clinician provides comprehensive substance use treatment within Merakey's clinic-based behavioral health program, serving as a key member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. In addition to delivering integrated care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, the clinician provides therapeutic services including individual, couple, and family therapy; conducts intake and diagnostic assessments; facilitates group therapy—including structured drug and alcohol groups using evidence-based practices, relapse-prevention strategies, psychoeducation, and skill-building; and coordinates care with the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor. The clinician actively engages clients, supports ongoing participation in treatment, and delivers clinically appropriate interventions for individuals experiencing mild to severe mental health conditions while maintaining accurate documentation, practicing trauma-informed and culturally competent care, and upholding ethical and professional standards.
