Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• IV insertion and lab draws
• Administer blood and nitrous oxide
• Facilitate vaginal exams and setup delivery tables
• Provide antepartum triage
• Assist with epidural placement
• Facilitate ECV, C/S, and vaginal deliveries
• Collaborative approach within a team

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Labor and delivery experience
• Proficiency in strip interpretation
• Knowledge of common OB medications
• Circulator experience in C/S and PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia
