Registered Dietitian
LONG-TERM CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
The Orchards at Canterbury on the Lake, located in Waterford Twp, MI is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team.
Registered Dietitian Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for residents
Assess residents’ nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and current health status
Monitor residents for significant weight changes, nutritional risks, and changes in condition
Recommend appropriate therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutrition interventions
Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
Complete required nutrition documentation and assessments accurately and timely
Collaborate with nursing, dietary staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Review menus and meal service to ensure residents’ nutritional and therapeutic dietary needs are met
Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate
Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and facility requirements related to nutrition and dietary services
Registered Dietitian Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and clinical nutrition
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Ability to meet the nutritional and dietary needs of a diverse resident population
