Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate degree or higher, OR a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), OR demonstration of Minnesota Department of Education-approved competencies.
• PCA certificate, or willingness to obtain it (free and completed in under an hour).
• At least 1 year of experience working professionally with school-aged children (required).
• 2+ years of paraprofessional experience in a school setting (preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support in classrooms, assisting teachers and students per established lesson plans.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment for all learners, including students with special needs.
• Adapt to different classroom and student needs as a substitute paraprofessional.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators.
• Uphold school policies and support positive behavior interventions.
