Location: Irvine, CaliforniaEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HireWork Authorization: U.S. citizens only; visa sponsorship is not availablePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer I/II to serve as a central design resource for land development projects. This position will be responsible for developing grading, street improvement, and underground utility designs while helping ensure the accuracy and quality of project deliverables.The successful candidate will collaborate with project leaders, clients, public agencies, and junior engineering staff. This opportunity is ideal for a civil engineer with strong technical design capabilities, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and the ability to contribute both independently and as part of a project team.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a central design resource for land development project teamsDesign grading, street improvements, and underground utility systemsPrepare accurate and complete civil engineering plans that comply with applicable standards and agency requirementsAssist project and team leaders with client and public agency coordinationParticipate in project meetings, client meetings, and conference calls as neededBuild and maintain productive professional relationships with clients, agencies, and internal team membersReview engineering plans and identify opportunities to improve design qualitySupport quality assurance and quality control throughout the design processDelegate appropriate tasks and provide technical guidance to junior staffTrain and mentor junior engineering team membersIntroduce practical ideas and design improvements that support project quality and efficiencyRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited four-year institutionA combination of relevant education and civil engineering design experience totaling at least four yearsLand development design experienceExperience designing grading, street improvements, and underground utilitiesProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3DActive Engineer-in-Training certificationStrong technical design, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to review plans and provide guidance to junior engineering staffAbility to work effectively both independently and collaborativelyMust be a U.S. citizenPreferred QualificationsActive Professional Engineer licenseExperience coordinating with clients and public agenciesExperience training or mentoring junior engineering staffExperience with plan review and engineering quality controlQualified candidates who meet the minimum requirements and are interested in supporting land development projects in Irvine are encouraged to apply.
