EUC/Desktop Engineer The Desktop Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s end‑user computing environment. This includes managing desktop hardware, software, and related infrastructure, ensuring a secure and efficient user experience. The role involves both hands‑on support and participation in desktop‑related projects and automation initiatives. Essential Functions Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows desktop and laptop systems. Package and deploy software using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated desktop support issues (Tier 2/3). Maintain and update desktop images and configuration baselines. Apply security patches and updates to endpoint systems. Assist with Active Directory user and group management. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborate with IT teams on endpoint security, compliance, and lifecycle management. Participate in hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, and software rollouts. Participate in after‑hours support rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed. Experience 2–4 years of experience in desktop support or engineering. Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications. Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Autopilot). Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell preferred) for automation tasks. Understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix) is a plus. Experience with MacOS and Linux endpoints is a plus. Microsoft certifications (MD-102, MS-100, MS-101) a plus. Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow). Windows server experience a plus. Knowledge of VMWare is a plus.
