Senior HR Operations Specialist

Own and continuously improve HR programs including new hire experience, leave management, internal mobility, offboarding, and field employee support Partner with HR Operations Specialists and Administrators to identify experience gaps and build consistent organizational solutions Support L&D program enhancements, ROOT program facilitation, and training program design Identify patterns and provide recommendations to the HR Operations Manager for L&D improvements Recommend improvements to payroll processes, benefits programs, and HR service delivery Lead and mentor junior HR Operations roles Create, administer, and improve core training for HR Operations policies, procedures, systems, and tools Own compliance programs including state-specific compliance calendars, ACA eligibility tracking, and HR data governance standards Lead process standardization, documentation, process reviews, and workflow improvements across HR Operations programs Recommend policy improvements supporting process standardization Conduct structured quarterly reviews and present findings and recommendations to the HR Operations Manager Maintain and improve the HR intranet and ensure self-service content, forms, and policies remain current and accessible Own the contingent workforce program, including contract tracking, vendor relationships, audits, and escalation management Manage HR vendor contracts, track renewals, monitor performance, and escalates service issues Build and maintain the HR Operations metrics dashboard Analyze and distribute operational reporting and recommend workflow improvements Produce headcount reporting, regulatory filing support, and ad hoc reports Track, analyze, and report ticket volumes, SLA adherence, audit findings, and program outcomes Requirements 4–6 years of HR operations experience with demonstrated program ownership or project management responsibility Strong Workday HCM experience Familiarity with Workday reporting, data governance, and configuration Experience building or managing HR programs from design through steady-state operation Strong analytical and data skills, including pulling, interpreting, and presenting HR data Knowledge of state and federal compliance requirements, particularly California employment law, FMLA, ADA, and ACA Strong process orientation focused on repeatable and scalable operations Excellent written communication skills and ability to translate operational data into clear leadership summaries High degree of professional judgment and comfort operating in ambiguous situations Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required, or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience PHR/SPHR or equivalent experience is a plus Ability to perform physical duties including sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
