Registered Nurse - Telemetry

This position requires the candidate to be a registered nurse with a specialty in telemetry. The unit is a 49-bed specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast-paced. The staff will care for specialty patients, including stable heart and lung transplants. Candidates will also manage patients with Ventricular Assist Devices. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare occasions of 1:7. Floating to various units within the facility is required to meet staffing needs. Weekends consist of 4 shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. The candidate must be 100% nicotine-free and comply with all facility policies. Holiday requirements include working 2 of the 3 major holidays each year. The facility promotes a team atmosphere, including interdisciplinary support. Experience: 2 years in a large urban hospital required License: Current state RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required - Drip management experience required - Experience with cardiac telemetry required - Must be prepared to float frequently
