Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer

Date: 11.03.2026 Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) Marble Imaging: We are a German NewSpace company, combining engineering, aeronautics & Earth Observation to address global challenges from community resilience, climate adaptation and disaster management. Marble Imaging is developing its own constellation of Very High Resolution (VHR) multispectral satellites designed to provide frequent global coverage and enable advanced Earth Observation analytics. The first Marble satellite is scheduled for launch in Q4 this year We are a fast-growing and diverse team, comprised of highly motivated professionals from various backgrounds. We share a common vision to make EO data and analytics more accessible and understandable so they can be incorporated into rapid-decision-making. The Team: You will be part of the Marble Data and Products (MDP) team. The team is composed of data scientists, engineers and developers working on the development of the Marble data processing software, EO-based analytics and geospatial portal development. Location: Our headquarters is in Bremen and we have an office in Frankfurt. Candidates should be located in the Frankfurt or Bremen region and be willing to work from one of our offices at least three days per week. Your role: As a Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute to the development of Marble’s EO analytics stack and help transform large volumes of satellite imagery into scalable geospatial intelligence products. You will design and implement machine learning and AI-based computer vision models that extract meaningful information from multispectral and SAR satellite data. Your main tasks:

• Implementation of machine learning, AI and computer vision models for geospatial applications
• Development and optimization of scalable processing pipelines for large volumes of Earth Observation data
• Integration of machine learning models into Marble’s geospatial data processing infrastructure and analytics

platform • Processing and analysis of Earth Observation imagery (multispectral and SAR) and derived datasets to support operational geospatial analytics products

• Evaluation and validation of models with benchmark datasets
• Contribution to documentation, technical proposals, and internal development roadmaps

Your profile:

• MSc or PhD in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
• Strong experience working with satellite imagery or geospatial raster data (multispectral required; SAR

experience is a plus) • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with geospatial libraries such as GDAL, rasterio, xarray, geopandas or similar tools

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed or cloud-based processing environments
• Experience with computer vision techniques for remote sensing (e.g., segmentation, classification, object

detection) • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment combining satellite engineering, geospatial analytics, and software development.
