Head of Patient Insights & Engagement — Hybrid, Atlanta

We are looking for a Head of Patient Insights & Engagement to join our US Market Access team based out of our office in Atlanta, GA (hybrid, 2 days/week onsite). About The Role The Head of Patient Insights & Engagement is a core role responsible for driving patient‑centric insight generation and patient campaign performance measurement across assets/indications in partnership with commercial and cross‑functional stakeholders including media, creative and customer relationship management agencies. Who You’ll Work With He/she will work closely with business partners to define the business questions, select the appropriate methodologies and techniques, and provide insights for underlying business issues. They will measure the performance of direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) patient campaigns, coordinate with vendors on fieldwork and performance data gathering, and review collected data to make business‑oriented recommendations. What You’ll Do Plan and lead agreed market research, creating plans that answer key hypotheses on priority business issues and opportunities. Demonstrate an in‑depth understanding of the therapeutic area and competitive landscape to ensure the right business questions are asked. Champion the patient voice and serve as the patient subject‑matter expert, ensuring patients are at the heart of operational decision making. Lead planning of patient primary market research and DTC campaign measurement for the brand within the annual business planning process. Manage agreed market research activities, spear‑head new and emerging research methodologies, and champion best practice in established methodologies. Lead campaign measurement activities and collaborate across functions to quantify campaign impact and identify media plan optimization opportunities. Ensure strong communication with regional/local teams (legal, compliance, safety) so approvals of new initiatives happen smoothly. Proactively stay up‑to‑date with industry changes, methodologies, tools, and techniques, and share findings with the wider team. Gather insights from non‑traditional sources (e.g., social media listening) in addition to commissioning specific primary research. Collaborate closely with the US regional Advanced Analytics team to support performance measurement activities and ensure the effective use of existing data sources to answer business questions. Ensure all planned market research is compliant and that “impact” is consistently monitored across all projects. Required 7+ years of successful experience in marketing communications/strategy, market research and performance measurement roles within the pharma industry (agency or client side) or consumer packaged goods (CPG). Currently living in the Atlanta, GA area or willing to relocate. Preferred Strong understanding of marketing strategy, brand management, media planning, primary market research methods and media program performance measurement. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and/or DTC/media planning is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, align stakeholders, and drive delivery; people management experience is a plus. Ability to align and guide insights professionals on a common agenda amid potentially conflicting priorities. Strong quantitative, qualitative and interpretation skills, and a structured problem‑solving approach. Focus on continuous improvement and efficiency in insights demand planning and execution. Agile mindset and an appetite for test‑and‑learn. Clear communicator who can tailor style to technical and non‑technical audiences and build compelling storylines for business leaders. Analytical thinking with strong numerical proficiency and insightful interpretation. Salary This position offers a base salary range of $184,000–$242,000. The actual salary offered will consider related knowledge, skills, experience and location, and may fall outside the expected range.
