Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$2392.92/week –

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care. The role involves managing patient needs, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and ensuring safety and best outcomes for mothers and infants.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the clinical condition and care needs of laboring patients and their newborns.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospital policies and patient needs.

• Provide direct nursing care, including monitoring fetal and maternal status, administering medications, and assisting during delivery.

• Supervise and collaborate with LPNs, nursing attendants, and support staff to deliver timely and quality care.

• Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum, and newborn care, including discharge instructions.

• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress and care adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least two (2) years of nursing experience.

• Demonstrate competency in medication titration and critical care practices.

• Preferably possess one (1) year of PICU/NICU experience in a relevant setting.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; relevant certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and BLS must be current.

• Maintain licensure and certifications as per state and hospital standards.
