Overview Sentara Therapy Center Reid Prospect is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a full‑time day shift opportunity. There is flexibility to work a 36‑hour or a 40‑hour week. The 40‑hour work week would include 4 hours on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. City/State: Woodbridge, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Position Summary As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. You may assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. You will provide age‑appropriate education for clients and caregivers, supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members, perform modalities and therapeutic interventions by accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures, participate or assist with updates in the formal plan of care to address individual patient needs, provide effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training, and initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes. You will be productive and efficient in daily operations.
