Chetenham School District announces the following extra duty - extra pay position is available for the 2026-2027 school year at Cheltenham High School: Position: Football – Head Coach Reports to: Athletic Director Position Summary: The Head Football Coach is responsible for leading a highly competitive and well-rounded interscholastic football program in accordance with PIAA regulations, district policies, and education‑based athletics principles. The coach will provide strong leadership, promote academic achievement, foster character development, and ensure a safe positive experience for all student athletes while building a sustainable year‑round program. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred. Prior head coaching experience at the high school varsity level is required. Current clearances as required by state and district policy. CPR, AED and First Aid certification. Demonstrated knowledge of football fundamentals, rules and safety protocols. Familiarity with NCAA eligibility guidelines and the college recruitment process. Strong organizational communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administration. Commitment to education-based athletics and year‑round student athlete development.
