What You'll Be Doing:
- Safely operate and monitor extruders, cure ovens, and cutting equipment
- Set up, run, and maintain extrusion processes for various profiles including peroxide and platinum silicone materials
- Cut silicone strips, load extruders, and provide balanced feeds
- Make tooling changes, perform minor maintenance, and carry out routine equipment inspections
- Conduct quality checks, read work orders, and follow all relevant SOPs, ISO guidelines, and safety procedures
- Cut products to precise lengths by hand or using automatic cutting machinery
- Troubleshoot issues and see defects at close range, ensuring adherence to customer requirements
- Help train team members and contribute to a respectful, collaborative work environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred
- Mathematical and measuring skills
- Ability to read and understand work orders, product specifications, and both written & verbal instructions in English
- Exceptional manual dexterity, finger dexterity, hand/arm steadiness, and reaction time
- Ability to precisely adjust controls and handle small components
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain safety standards
