Job Story The Finance, Real Estate, and Decision Sciences department at the Barton School of Business is looking for a graduate assistant with technical skills to work with MIS faculty. You will Assist MIS faculty with their teaching and research activities. Please indicate in your resume when you plan to graduate. Job Summary The primary function of a graduate research assistant (GRA) is to assist faculty members in their scholarly and / or creative activities. Department FREDS-MIS Campus Location Wichita, KS - WSU Main Campus Hire Type Part Time Pay $3360 per semester Work Schedule Dependent upon applicant's class schedule Export Compliance Requirement No export control requirement. Job Duties High level of computer skills necessary for this position. Computer Programming and Application Development. Database Skills. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Additional Requirements Must be a registered graduate student taking at least 6 credit hours. Required Experience To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program in either full or conditional standing. Students admitted on probation or placed on academic probation following admission may be eligible for assistantship awards under certain circumstances. Preferred Qualifications Students with an MIS background/major preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
