• 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Flexibility with scheduling is important for this position.

Position Summary
Citadel Security USA is currently hiring Part-Time Unarmed Security Officers to assist with safety operations at a healthcare facility in Grand Junction. Officers assigned to this location help support a secure and professional environment for patients, medical staff, visitors, and contractors across hospital buildings and surrounding property areas.
This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm in fast-paced situations.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Patrol & Monitoring

• Conduct routine interior patrols throughout medical buildings and common areas
• Inspect parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and exterior property areas
• Monitor camera systems and report suspicious activity or security concerns
• Observe surroundings carefully and document unusual incidents promptly

Safety & Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to disturbances, alarms, or safety-related situations
• Use de-escalation techniques during conflicts or disruptive behavior
• Follow healthcare facility procedures and emergency response guidelines
• Maintain awareness of environmental and operational safety concerns

Communication & Reporting

• Prepare detailed activity logs and incident reports using company systems
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and hospital contacts
• Assist with documenting observations through platforms such as TrackTik
• Report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns when identified

Customer & Staff Support

• Interact professionally with patients, visitors, nurses, physicians, and staff
• Provide directions and general assistance when appropriate
• Help support a respectful and controlled healthcare environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to stay composed during stressful or high-activity situations
• Willingness to comply with healthcare-related screening and vaccination requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospital security, healthcare environments, or related fields
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and access monitoring
• Experience with digital reporting tools or incident documentation systems
• Background in conflict resolution or de-escalation practices

Training & Compliance Requirements

• Completion of company onboarding and orientation processes
• Participation in ACT (Assault Crisis Training) or comparable training programs
• Compliance with all healthcare facility safety standards and health requirements

Work Environment

• Healthcare setting with ongoing interaction with staff, patients, and visitors
• Combination of indoor patrols, exterior rounds, and monitoring responsibilities
• Requires standing, walking, observation, and communication throughout shifts
• Flexible scheduling environment with day, evening, and overnight coverage needs
