Title: Account Manager

Location: Billings, MT

Compensation: $70-80k + Commissions ($100-120k OTE)

We're looking for an Account Manager who wants to own a territory, grow it, and become the person customers call when they need real solutions, not just parts.

What You'll Do

You'll spend your days in the field (refineries, plants, job sites, and procurement offices) building deep relationships and solving problems. A typical week might include:

• Walking a rotating equipment engineer through a project or turnaround challenge
• Bringing a field engineer or training resource to the table when it creates value
• Checking in with buyers and maintenance leaders
• Helping manage vendor inventory on site
• Hunting new opportunities while protecting and expanding existing business

You'll manage roughly 30 accounts with a clear cadence: weekly or biweekly touchpoints with priority customers, regular visits to tier 2 accounts, and disciplined prospecting for new business. You'll prioritize based on urgency and account potential, balancing high value relationships with the broader addressable market across Montana.

You'll also:

• Convert inbound leads and web forms while generating your own pipeline through cold outreach, state records, and industry networks
• Partner closely with our sales leadership and technical resources
• Deliver accurate forecasts and stay accountable to a territory plan
• Participate in continuous product and sales training

Who You Are

You're comfortable with a high degree of autonomy in a remote territory and you know how to manage your time so the most important work gets done first. You have a natural curiosity about how fluid systems work and a drive to keep learning.

Ideal Background

• 3-5+ years of outside sales or account management experience (industry is flexible)
• Exposure to industrial automation, instrumentation, valves, pumps, process equipment, oil and gas, refining, chemical processing, mining, metals, or contractor work supporting those environments is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort discussing technical solutions
• Proven ability to build trust with engineers, maintenance teams, buyers, and plant leadership
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills in a field based role

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $70,000-$80,000
• On target earnings: $90,000-$120,000

Location and Travel

This is a field based role. You must live in or near Billings, MT, or the surrounding communities east of Billings so you can effectively cover the territory. Weekly travel within the territory is expected; occasional travel to the manufacturer's home office is required.
