Job Summary
A Step Down Unit Nurse is needed in a healthcare facility to provide specialized care on the dedicated stroke unit. This position involves managing patients with medical, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), cardiac, gastrointestinal (GI), renal, sepsis, trauma, and surgical conditions, ensuring quality patient outcomes over a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details

• Position Description: Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma, Surgery. This is the dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent; 0 years of experience required; ability to work night shifts (12-hour shifts); location requirements: must be geographically approved and available to start on 10/25/2026 through 01/23/2027.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with the healthcare team in a fast-paced stroke care environment. Submission requires a proper resume, licensure verification, professional profile, two professional references, and completion of the Ascension Skills Checklist.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
