Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is looking for a reliable plumbing and hvac materials handler responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory handling, efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Previous experience in plumbing supplies and air conditioning distribution, or related industries is strongly preferred.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm FULL TIME.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of plumbing materials and supplies.
- Ensure all orders are filled accurately and delivered on time.
- Provide direction and hands-on support to warehouse associates.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper product storage.
- Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams regarding stock levels and order discrepancies.
- Manage loading/unloading of trucks and verify all incoming/outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all equipment.
- Support walk-in customers and will-call orders when needed.
- Work with delivery drivers and vendors to ensure smooth logistics.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse experience , preferably in plumbing, construction, or industrial supply.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certified-sit down).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift to 45lbs-50lbs and work on your feet throughout the day.
