Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of hospital/specialty experience License: Active RN License required (temporary license not accepted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: Strong neuro experience OR experience in a hospital setting Neurosurgery experience Description: This position requires strong neuro experience. The RN will work in the Surgery unit providing care to patients during surgical procedures. The unit performs a high volume of general and neurosurgery, including cranial, orthopedic, robotic surgeries, some urology, and plastic surgeries. Additional procedures include heart and transplants. The RN will provide one-to-one care in the operating room. Staffing includes 1-2 surgical techs per case. Equipment used in the unit includes Da Vinci XI, Globus, and Mako robots, microscopes, and standard OR equipment. Documentation is managed through Meditech. Candidates should be friendly and compassionate with patients. The dress code requires facility-provided scrubs. Nail policy specifies clean and healthy nails with no gel or artificial nails beyond fingertips. Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Facial hair should be clean and neatly trimmed. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. Floating within different units may be required as needed. Attendance policies will be enforced. Candidates with robotic experience and Meditech experience will be prioritized.
