Associate Attorney — Plaintiff Personal Injury & Workers’ Compensation

Kisner Law, LLC | Hyattsville, MD

$125,000–$180,000+ Bonus | Based on experience, litigation background, and results

Prior Plaintiff Personal Injury and/or Insurance Defense experience is required for this role.

The Role

You’ll manage personal injury and workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution, including litigation support, negotiations, strategy, and client advocacy.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the firm long-term and help build something exceptional.

$125,000 - $180,000 + Bonus

Core Responsibilities

• Manage assigned cases from intake through settlement or litigation resolution
• Maintain responsibility for case progression, calendaring, scheduling, deadlines, and follow-up tasks
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, settlement demands, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analyze case-specific legal and factual issues
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, discovery, statements, negotiations, and other litigation-related activities
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and other parties

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland Bar (DC Bar admission is a plus)
• Prior experience in personal injury, workers’ compensation, litigation, family law, or another client-facing practice area preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Experience managing deadlines, court calendars, and active caseloads
