Position Overview Dalcom Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support a team focused on mission-critical research, development, systems engineering, and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full lifecycle of sophisticated software, web, and hardware systems from initial specifications through rollout and maintenance. Integrate network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices to create cohesive, resilient solutions. Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (e.g., MagicDraw, SysML) to develop and document system architectures. Ensure system designs are modular, scalable, interoperable, and maintainable, leveraging MOSA principles and DoD standards. Conduct technical trade studies, engineering reviews, and interface mapping to verify system interoperability and compliance. Translate organizational interoperability visions into practical, standards-based system designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage specifications, design, coding, testing, and maintenance activities. Prepare technical documentation and architectural viewpoints to support Information Support Plans (ISP) and enable system Qualifications / Desired Skills Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline 3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance. Experience with systems integration, MBSE methodologies, and tools such as MagicDraw and SysML is highly desirable. Familiarity with DoD standards and modular open systems approaches preferred. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical documentation and technical presentations. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities.
