Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have active Illinois license or be in application process Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: PICC line management experience Starting IVs experience Charge experience preferred Cerner experience preferred Description: Position requires a CVICU RN. Shift is from 18:45 to 07:00. Open to working 3x12 or 4x12 schedules, with every third weekend required. First-time travelers are accepted. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs as required. Open to accommodating block schedules; please connect with the manager to discuss schedule requests. Guaranteed hours are provided based on assignment terms. RTO restrictions ideally allow no more than 5 days off. Candidate must have experience in urgent care settings and trauma care. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high-stress environment is essential. Daily census is approximately 6 patients with a patient ratio of 2. Must possess strong skills in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, and ventilator management. Candidates are expected to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias. Experience with advanced cardiac procedures and technologies is needed. Daily patient care to include monitoring and supporting complex cardiac patients. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills.
