2nd Shift Cut Associate
The 2nd Shift Cut Associate position operates cutting equipment and secondary equipment in order to provide quality product to the customer. Essential Functions:
- Performs all assigned machine operations
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Determines the appropriate cutting equipment and methods based on requirements
- Sets up, adjusts and operates machinery and equipment to cut parts to specifications
- Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Ensures work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards
- Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions
- Inspects cut surfaces and structure to ensure accuracy and discover flaws
- Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from work piece
- Identifies, tags and removes non-conforming materials
- Accurately completes all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Communicates with other departments as necessary
- Keeps work areas clean and organized
- Adheres to all company rules and policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
