Job Description JobResponsibilities Lead assay development tasks to launch high-quality products for the BD Rhapsody™ platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, Verification & Validation, and tech transfer support Drive the development work in collaboration with wet lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners Design and perform hands-on experiments to achieve development objectives Independently analyze and interpret single-cell genomics data and present results to cross-functional teams Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentationsshowcasingRhapsody platform performance Provide scientificexpertisetooptimizecurrent products and support the development of new product applications Qualifications: Required Skills Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field 8+ years of research experience, including5+ years of industry experiencein a related field Extensive experience with RNA-seq and other next-generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis Experience withgenomicassays using FFPE (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) samples Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Demonstrated ability to developassay products, critically analyze data, andmaintainexcellent experimental records Preferred Skills FFPE sample handlingexpertise Experience with assay/reagent product development Experience with spatial genomics and/or proteomics Experience with single-cellmultiomicsassays Experience generating assays for biopharma/translational market Immunology background At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
