Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for dental examinations by ensuring they are comfortable and informed. Assist the dentist during exams and treatments by providing instruments, equipment, and materials as needed. Make temporary restorations, scan teeth or implants for crowns and cavities. Prepare operatories for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup. Attend to patient needs during their visit and facilitate smooth treatment flow. Dismiss patients at the end of their appointments, providing post-treatment instructions as directed. Follow through on patient treatment plans as instructed by the dentist. Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Support administrative tasks as assigned by the Office Administrator. Skills and Qualifications Dental assisting certification or relevant experience preferred. Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of accredited dental assisting training program. Certification preferred. At least one (1) year experience in chairside dental assisting. Familiar with computers, preferably dental software packages. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
