Activity Director Everstead Health & Rehabilitation Russellville, AL Everstead Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized Activity Director to lead our resident activities program in Russellville, Alabama. Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive activities program for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Create monthly activity calendars that offer a variety of recreational, educational, social, spiritual, and wellness programs. Complete resident activity assessments and develop individualized activity plans. Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying physical and cognitive abilities. Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, entertainers, and community partnerships. Recruit, train, and supervise activity department staff and volunteers. Maintain activity documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Manage department supplies and operate within the activity budget. Work collaboratively with nursing, therapy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to enhance resident quality of life. Ensure compliance with all CMS, state, and facility standards related to resident activities. Qualifications Previous experience as an Activity Director , Activities Coordinator , Life Enrichment Director , Recreation Director , or similar role in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, assisted living, or long term care setting preferred. Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to resident activities. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with seniors. Ability to plan and lead both individual and group activities. Computer proficiency for documentation and scheduling. Certification as an Activity Director is preferred but not required based on applicable state regulations.
