Friendly Environment & Management teamLongstanding firm & client baseNot a strict corporate environmentPosition OverviewHireIQ are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's growing residential property management team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will form part of the firm's leadership team and supporting financial reporting across a multi-family portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, including variance analysisLead financial reporting meetings with clients and investorsSupport timely monthly closings across multiple client portfolios (Affordable Housing)Assist with annual budgets, financial projections, and cost analysisOversee the accounting onboarding process for new clientsWork closely with legal, leasing, and compliance teams to support client needsMaintain internal controls and improve accounting processes and workflowsPrepare ad hoc reports and support special projects across the portfolioQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting xhyhwjd or a related field; CPA is a plusExperience in real estate property management accountingExperience using Yardi VoyagerA background in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysisExperience leading and mentoring accounting staffStrong Excel skills and a willingness to learn new systemsAffordable housing experience (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD)Click apply or reach out to Kenton Bell for more details.
