Assistant Manager I – Dollar Tree Stores We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities Assist with day‑to‑day store activities and opening/closing procedures. Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas. Process corporate directives and maintain store‑front fixtures and displays. Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits). Maintain a well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards. Protect store cash and secure company assets. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow company policies. Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates. Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
